Back to the original thread topic, the NATIONAL Bitcoin Strategy.
Today Bessent made some comment about the proposed Bitcoin Strategic Reserve:
US Treasury Secretary Bessent says government won't buy bitcoin for strategic reserve but will retain seized assets as crypto markets see red

  • Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a television interview that the U.S. would not be buying bitcoin for its strategic reserve.
  • However, he reiterated that the government would continue to use confiscated assets to build it up and would not sell bitcoin currently in the reserve, valuing it at $15 to $20 billion

He poured a bucket of ice cold water on the BSR expectation, that hunter at a proper buying campaign to finance the Bitcoin holding.
I guess Seator Lummis will comment on this in the next hours.

Scott bensen must have forgotten senator Cynthia lummis claims about President Donald Trump supports for the US to buy $1million for the strategic Bitcoin reserve when he said the US wouldn't be buying any bitcoin for the SBR . I wonder who's actually speaking for the president or whose words are we going to believe since both parties are anointed officials of the president. I think it will be better if the president himself will come out to eliminate the confusion on ground.

Bessent declaration Part II.

He was “counseled” and went back on track of the old message about Bitcoin Strategic Reserve:

Budget Neutrality is key here.
But that has actually always been the case.

Senator lummis once said the US will sell parts of her gold reserve to buy $1 million Bitcoin and today she is saying another different story entirely. I wouldn't be surprised if she start talking another story the next day . I think the government should be straightforward by sticking to one words once and for all.
