This attitude of players is becoming a new trend that clubs now have a say over players making decisions to leave their clubs even when they are under a contract. A similar situation with Alexander Isak with Newcastle United, Viktor Gyökeres situation was totally different, Newcastle has done nothing wrong to Isak and yet he is forcing a move.
Then they should sell
hehim when they can still get something out of him. No player is bigger than a club. I wish some of these clubs could pick a leaf from clubs like Real Madrid. Even when a legend like Sergio Ramos kept toying around with his contract instead of renewing it, when the deadline came, they let him go without even thinking twice.
Contracts can be terminated. If a player starts sulking, making disrespectful comments etc, lower the transfer fees and put him on market. get a replacement who's willing to play, move on. Simple.
