MJ: Do you know any of these guys (see the link and the about us page for Digital Mint)?

https://digitalmint.io/about-us/

After a little poking around, I think they issued the coins around the launch of their company, which was in 2014.

Will be interesting to find out more. In particular, why Trajan? Seems an odd choice as a commemorative used to launch your business.
There is at a rumor (meaning this claim is unconfirmed) that not all the 1000 coins are Trajan (the original discussion on the forum mentions other designs).
There is a little bit written about the "The Good Emperors." Maybe this was the inspiration for this choice?!

Wikipedia "Machiavelli argued that these adopted emperors earned the respect of those around them through good governance:

Titus, Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus, and Marcus had no need of praetorian cohorts, or of countless legions to guard them, but were defended by their own good lives, the good-will of their subjects, and the attachment of the senate.[7]

Edward Gibbon wrote in The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire that their rule was a time when "the Roman Empire was governed by absolute power, under the guidance of wisdom and virtue".[8] Gibbon believed that these benevolent monarchs and their moderate policies were unusual and contrasted with their more tyrannical and oppressive successors."
