The government's guidance on the impact of gambling addiction won't completely reduce the number of people addicted to gambling. In fact, even if the government strictly prohibits it, I don't think it will deter addicts from gambling.

In my country, gambling is strictly prohibited because it violates state and religious law. Yet, many people still engage in it, especially now with the advent of online gambling. The government has warned the public against gambling quite firmly, but unfortunately, this has had no positive impact; instead, it has only increased the number of people becoming addicted.

Though your country @junder, may have banned gambling and yet you still believe it hasn't had any positive effects the way you expected. But let's not forget that you literally can't compare the rate of gambling now in your country that it's been regulated to before when it wasn't, whereby people could easily gamble in the public without any fear, even among minors. Because the truth about gambling addiction is that it can never be totally eradicated in any country, despite how it's government tries to implement several laws against moderating it. Most especially now that we have got so many crypto casinos whereby you can easily deposit and withdraw funds with crypto without any restrictions.
