What so ever business you are doing it is people who patronize you that makes it grow, working for your self simply means that you are the CEO of your self, no body orders you around are asked you why you came late to work instead you are in a position to ask those questions.
People work for you and you get them paid that's what I understand by the term working for your self, those who are also working for you are actually working for themselves too because they get their bills settled with what they earn at the end of the week or month.

One key to wealth is freedom, you are not being restricted to a particular place for a period of time like people that work a 9 to 5, and you can do whatever you like whenever you are pleased, this is one of the benefits of being self employed...people who work under someone don't really work for themselves, they work under someone and do the tasks and activities the person requires them to do and they get paid in return for their services rendered
