this is exactly what i do, if i'm lucky and win something, i always at least cash out my deposit to have fun another day. if i lose, i wrap it up right then and there for the day.

only if people would actually followed this advice, we would not have problematic gamblers.
but no no, some can't help themselves, they make another deposit to try to win something back or break even, and even if they recover what they lost, they get greedy, keep playing, lose it all again, make another deposit, repeat the same shit over and over expecting a different result until they fuck up thier lives gambling every last cent to thier name.
I have listened to a slot addict explain his gambling addiction to a mutual friend. He is addicted to slot machines. Real physical machines, not online slots. When he gambles, he doesn't care if he makes money. There have been periods when he got decent payouts. Those are just numbers for him. They get him excited but he says the real excitement is when he losses. A mix of emotions take him over: anger, despair, sadness, not knowing what comes tomorrow, etc. It sounds crazy to a healthy mind but he loves the uncertainty as much as he loves to see the reels spin, the colors and lights of the slot machines.

What’s worse, that’s really true it sounds a bit sick, but yes, that’s how it is. As you said, for them it’s just numbers and it barely excites them. When i’m in some bigger profit, i immediately stop and cash out, and then i go again, but the money i’ve withdrawn i never put back in. What you said is really an extreme case, and there’s no cure for that not even luck can help there Cheesy
