I don't get what the OP message is? Is he questioning Bitcoin maximalist? or just explaining it to us? But obviously, this is a Bitcoin forum so perhaps majority here are Bitcoin maximalist in every sense.

And in short, we prioritized Bitcoin above all over cryptocurrencies. And there are distinction between Bitcoin and crpyto. Although one argument against it is that we don't welcome innovation. But it is what it is, Bitcoin is still working as design, although it might have evolved from peer to peer or micro payment scheme to a asset, but still, we haven't seen it breaking apart even if there are times that the network has been attack and transactions cost high fees.
