Have you ever made a mistake that resulted in the total or partial loss of your crypto assets?
Personally, like many people at the time, I stored my secret key in a file on my PC... which I accidentally deleted. I lost everything.

It would be nice to share our experiences to prevent others from falling into the same traps.
Most often it is safer to save your secret key on a hardware, that way you will be able to easily retrieve it when needed especially if you have it safe enough that the hardware is in a secured position, saving your secret key on a device keeps it at risk of compromise such that it can be compromised if some other person gains access to your devices, they can get your key and you will not be aware, so apart from situations like this where you got a file deleted, you can still loose your file by compromise on your system. My experience was similar to this but in my case the file in which I wrote the secret key was lost and all effort to find it was abortive and I lost the wallet and all of the coin I had in it, since then I have learned to carefully keep my key whenever I have them.
