Age can't be a factor to consider when talking about addiction which can lead to gamble, maybe in philipines retirement can be a factor because of their age, loneliness and idleness must have lead to addiction .

Gamblers that gets addicted can't be tied to only the old since they are not the only ones involved in gambling, addiction can be of any age in as much as you have not being able to follow the rules and regulations of gambling, therefore expect addiction at anytime, a poor country are easily affected by her citizens because of her poor economy, in the bit of wanting to make more money, they fall into being addicted.

We are basically saying almost the same thing: gambling addiction is not driven by age but by the person who is gambling. Anyone can choose to replace their boring lifestyle with gambling irrespective of their age; it is not something that they will need to get to a certain age for. It's just that in some countries it's very common to see a particular age range as gambling addicts over the others.

I think addiction is not a matter of age, but rather about how much a person is self-fulfilled in life and how satisfied they are with their life’s results. I doubt that someone would keep playing against themselves if everything in their life had worked out. Addiction, in my opinion, is the result of self-torment.
