In 2019, United Kingdom implemented a whistle to whistle ban on gambling advertising. Basically no gambling ads can be shown 5 minutes and 5 minutes after a sporting event to avoid kids and or other vulnerable people to see gambling ads when watching a big sporting match. As a gambler, what would you have felt about this? Especially if you were betting on the very same sporting match? Do you think that this was effective in reducing gambling rate in the country?
Ways of increase in gambling has gone past watching tv. Children below the age of 10 are now having access to mobile phones and internet. Gambling industries are not focused only on  tv or watch stations to promote their casino, ads are all over the internet advertising gambling.

It is hard to say preventions are growing out of hold, restricting underage from knowing what gambling is all about and them avoiding the practice.

The generation today is indeed very different as the access in gadgets are quite easy. Hence, parents should be responsible enough on how to manage their kids when it comes to access of these gadgets. As you can't monitor them 24/7, you should still the discipline as to when they can have access and when to use it as well as the sites that they need to avoid.
