This was beyond many people's predictions. Real Madrid, playing at home, were heavily favored and believed to win the match easily. However, it turned out not to be the case. Real Madrid only managed to win by a single goal, despite Osasuna's very defensive tactics. I think Xabi Alonso should have made many changes to the team's play and created more chances, but in reality, he didn't.
So, even though Real Madrid won the match, their overall performance was still quite disappointing.

It was a bit disappointing and I don't think they are yet capable of truly doing what they can do. If the boys work hard they can do really great things. They have a lot of great players in the squad, much superior to Barcelona, but they can't express their football.

It was indeed a disappointing performance from Real Madrid scoring one lucky goal at him to win against a small team is nut what as expected from them this season, they have a new manager and they signed so many players they can't keep disappointing their fans now that they expect them to bounce back after their poor performance last season. Real Madrid have a better squad than Barcelona but Flick has mastered the right formation for his team that is why they can defeat Real Madrid if they are not in their best performing. They still have an opportunity to sign more players if there is something lacking in the team but they need to improve so they can face Barcelona and other teams when they play in the champions League.
