That sounds unrealistic. You’re basically saying over 4 billion people in the world are gambling since that’s 50% of the total population. Without any data to back it up, that claim doesn’t hold. I don't think he's saying that it is a "source of crime" but rather "source of income." And on that note, I also don't agree as we all know that when you are in gambling, the more likely that will happen is that you will lose what you have. There's always no assurance if you will win or not in gambling because you are relying on luck especially if you are playing with those classic games.
