But some governments still think that this kind of warning is not enough for gamblers to stay responsible. But don’t you think that a constant reminder can wake someone up from delusion? What do you think? Is this enough or should there be more ways to promote responsible gambling?
The decision boils down to the person himself. Ads and other kinds of reminders is useless if the person is drown in his gambling addiction. I agree with the government statement that reminders and ads against gambling are not enough.
Unless the person involved in gambling addiction decides himself to stop or recover his control over his gambling activities, any kind of persuasion or treatment will be in vain. It should be accepted by the person first before the process of treatment begins.
Another thing, the government must make the person understand the consequences of reckless gambling, reminding them that it is not for solving financial problems and saying it will not increase their financial status without explaining why
. It is just a cover-up and a half-hearted means of complying with the government regulation.
Gamblers need seminars to understand the
and effects of gambling irresponsibly and the benefits of responsible gambling.
