So here is my experience with Sato. . .

Dane

Thank you, for sharing your story.

This sounds more and more like the same exact guy “Skyler”

So much of Dane’s story aligns with the same characteristics. - Charming/charismatic, excited, smooth talker, Offers more than asked, likes to communicate via phone/voice chat and brags about his “wealth”. I’m 90 + % certain it’s the same guy at this point.

So here is my experience with Sato. He had been making posts on the forum looking for coins to buy. I reached out and offered some BF coins for sale. Right off the bat he was unconventional. He asked for contact info so we could talk on the phone. I initially gave him my email and after a week he purchased a Lealana BF reaper and a lealana brass 0.1. He paid promptly and deal went smooth. He expressed interest in loaded coins, and i told him I didn't have any for sale. I did however give him my phone number. We had two phone calls, one of which lasted an hour where we talked about physical bitcoin. he struck me as someone very excited about our hobby. He was polite and charitable. At one point even offering to send more money than i was asking for the coins. I see now that this was obviously part of his plan to gain trust in the group. After our deal concluded he asked if I would give him positive trust and make a post on the thread about our deal success, which i did. This last Sunday he sent me a message offering me a peeled CAS. He said he wanted to gift me the coin because of our deal and he had about 6 of the coins which I saw a picture of. I told him no, that he didn't have to do that. I said, " If you want to give a coin away why don't you do a free raffle and give it to the community." He thought it was a great idea and asked if Id help him with the raffle. I told him to take the night and think about it and If he still wanted to do the raffle I would set it up for him. On Monday morning he said he wanted to do the raffle but he wanted to give the peeled Lealana away instead of the CAS coin. I did think it was unorthodox that we would give away a coin that he had just bought two weeks before. However, he was sure he wanted to do the raffle and assured me he would produce the coin. On Tuesday morning he sent me tracking information on the peeled Lealana which should arrive Mon or Tuesday. Literally an hour or two later I was made aware of the theft and scam. I locked the raffle temporarily as we wait for more info. I sent Sato a text message which he did not respond too. So providing that the Lealana actually shows up this week I am still planning on giving away the coin to the community. If the coin does not show up I will give away one of my own coins. I feel somewhat responsible to giving trust to a snake in the grass. I've learned that I am probably to trusting of strangers. Even when I received a warning from Mopar and MJ about him being suspicious, I chose to give him the benefit of the doubt. It makes me sad about the state of humanity. I have messages to back up my entire connection with Sato over the last 3 weeks. If your interested in seeing them just ask. Also I'm hoping we can collaborate with information to help the victim get justice. We are the watchers who hold together our hobby.
