Yes, same with alcohol addiction. There could be warning about drinking responsibly, but that's clearly ignored if the person wants to have a drink.

Same with gambling. People will see those warnings and simply ignore them.

I guess it's fine to have them, but not sure how effective these warnings really are. And maybe that's by design?, because there's so much money to be made in casinos, and I mean the owners, not the gamblers.

And that's the same thoughts with addicted gamblers, they'd think that there is a lot of money to be made if they are also in the same thing. So, they continue to gamble to see if they're going to be lucky today or one day it will come to them and that's why they're not even stopping any moment from now on. The warnings that they get is just ignored but soon, it will appear on their minds and will start to sink in when things aren't going well for them. They will only remember that when they come into a situation that they could no longer hold.
