It was truly a great innings from Australia. Only four batsmen scored 430+ runs on the scoreboard. Three of the top order batsmen scored centuries and the fourth batsman would have scored a century if the over had not ended. Australia performed well under pressure and this match may be the biggest proof of that. Australia lost the series to South Africa by a big margin in the first two matches, and similarly, if Australia had lost the third match against South Africa, then they would have been whitewashed against South Africa. Only to avoid the shame of this whitewash, they batted so aggressively in the first innings and scored 430+. Seeing the batting of these two, green and head, it seemed that they were not playing an ODI match but they were playing a T20 match.
