The tournament is now just a few days away. We've seen how prepared the teams are, and judging by their performances in the friendly matches, Germany looks like a strong contender for the championship this year. Spain doesn't look particularly ambitious this season. Dennis Schröder will be the MVP again this season and looks poised to lead Germany to the championship.
I didn't see the game but I don't doubt that Germany has the quality to be among the medalists. However, I can't see Dennis "The Menace" Schröder as an MVP of the tournament, unless Germany gets the gold medal. But for the gold medal, my favorite is Serbia, thus the MVP title goes to Jokic.
Yeah in a tournament where you have Jokic, Giannis, Luka, Bogi, Sengun and others there is no chance for Schröder to win MVP, unless like you said they win gold, which is very unlikely to happen.
This time the talent pool is just too big and if I would have to bet money on MVP it's Jokic 100 out of 100 times, no other pick possible for me.
