Luis Enrique took a huge risk by letting Donnarumma go. Despite his strategic needs, relying on the inexperienced Chevalier is a gamble. PSG should be retain Donnarumma at all costs, he was a key pillar in PSG Champions League success last season. Donnarumma reportedly demanded a higher salary increase in contract extension discussions, which PSG are reluctant to meet.

If Donnarumma were to leave for Manchester City, I think it would be a good move for his career, but so far no official offer has been made. Situationally, Pep Guardiola would likely have to sacrifice Ederson if he signed Donnarumma, and that's likely to happen. If Chevalier fails to live up to expectations, Luis Enrique will face harsh criticism this season.

true bro! I think letting a quality goalkeeper like Donnarumma go is surely a big gamble because Champions League experience can’t just be replaced overnight.. But at the same time PSG are clearly looking long term with Chevalier and Luis Enrique seems confident he can grow into that role in a short while because look at what he did with the current squad he had , he really performed some magic with them the way he got them playing in his style of play together is really commendable. As for City!! I mean somehow i doubt if  Pep will be sacrificing Ederson anytime soon becuase of that using his feet to start the play from back thing but maybe unless there is something we don’t know just yet that is going on behind the scenes... But again if Chevalier doesn’t deliver as expected though!! I think PSG will regret this decision fast as they can throw him.... it is begining to feel like Luis Enrique is betting too much on potential instead of proven quality ! but hey i am not a coach so what do i know....
