I don't know how true is this but if it's actually true, then it's definitely a step in the right direction because these schools have taken it as a harbit to use graduation ceremony to milk parents of their hard earned money.
And one thing I have noticed about all this is that it is being carried out mostly by small private schools the most, not even recognized ones, that's why poor people or average income earners are being hit the most by this unprofessionalism by this schools, so it's a welcome development and a step i am really in support of if it's true.

Honestly speaking it is high time this stop because it seems that the Nigerians private schools are really taken advantage of this particularly about them exploiting parents financially during graduation ceremonies, well i hoping some measures might be taken to address this issue which i believe is more prevalent in small unrecognized private schools sectors affecting low Incomes of families disproportionately. Just take a look at the some private schools in the Uk which are subject to new regulations including the VAT on education fees and removal of charitable relief on business rates, however i couldn't find specific information on Nigeria private schools being regulated.
