Same old story, No farewell match. There are some serious structural problems in the Indian cricket, no players want to take voluntary retirement and every time management kicks em out with same old drama. In recent time, 4 big players retired from Indian test team and no farewell match for them. Would have been great if there was some communication between players and management.
Their primary focus is money and they only go all out organizing such farewell matches if the player in question is a proper legend in their eyes which sucks, but is the harsh truth basically.
Pujara deserved a way better farewell in the test format only as you mentioned. Dude might not be as big as Dravid, but he probably was the closest to him in the wall aspect.
