What I am saying is that people who would have supported this event if they were in power, end up opposing it only because they are in opposition. Also, Jay Shah is the ICC chief now, and this is yet another reason for them to oppose this tournament. Unless there is a parliamentary act prohibiting all sports events between India and Pakistan, I am not going to support their demands. Mobocracy cannot be a determining factor for scheduling sports events.
India vs Pakistan matches generate massive revenue and that is also one reason why BCCI is not refusing to play against Pakistan in mega events. Due to recent clashes between both countries it's almost impossible for them to play bilateral series at home. Jay shah is son of Amit Shah, who is a politician and also India home minister. But regardless of which party is in government, it's not in BCCI interest to refuse to play against Pakistan in ICC and other mega events.
