You know Guardiola is not in his prime anymore, at this point he is actually trying so hard not to allow the things around him interfere with his job and so it has somehow also reflected in his performance so seeing that Manchester City is starting off this shaky, is for me not really surprising but I agree they are going to improve along the line with the new set of players they were able to acquire so far.

Manchester City's performance has seriously declined since last season. I just hope it won’t get worse this season. Although they got some new players, we may see a positive change this season, but seriously, I don’t think they will be able to top the league this season, but change will definitely be there.
