With Serbia it’s different, there literally isn’t a bad player there, and they all play as one. That’s why Jokic is definitely the main favorite for the MVP award.
And maybe, this is the only way to see someone else as the MVP and not Jokic. If the criteria for the MVP are his sole contribution to bringing his team to the medals, then Jokic doesn't necessarily have to be the MVP. Because, as you said correctly, the whole Serbian team is like one player. E.g., if Luca or Giannis manages to bring their teams among the medals, then they can take the title of the MVP because they are both the players who change the whole picture on their teams. However, we all know that this is difficult to happen.
It’s hard to happen, but not impossible, because we know the quality of both Luka and Giannis. We know that they can score 40+ points. I agree again, it’s difficult but possible. Serbia somehow looks to me now like team USA at the previous Olympic Games. When they were losing to Serbia by almost 20 points in the semifinals, and when Curry’s three-point shots weren’t falling, that’s when Durant stepped up to fix things and replace him in that role. That’s the example Serbia reminds me of if Jokic "falls short," then there’s Bogdanovic, and if Bogdanovic has a bad game, then there’s Micic, and vice versa. In any case, we’ll see, i’m hoping for a great tournament.
