Yes, that's true. Gambling can sometimes become a serious problem for poor people. They tend to gamble with the goal of winning, but instead of winning, it actually leads them deeper into the trap. This is also the result of their own wrong behavior. These individuals tend to focus too much on gambling, making it a priority in their lives.
I believe the commonality between people who gamble is that they want to win, even those who gamble for fun.

Most if not all who go to this place and gamble intend to win and like what you said even those who are just using it to kill some time and enjoy they also have that same intentions, they wanted to win and move away with some decent profits, though most of those gamblers who unable to manage their emotions, they are the one who commonly got trapped and lose a lot, as they follow their emotions and part of it is the greed inside that dominates them and lead them to desire for more.

That's true one common factor that connects every gambler is the will to win money it's this drive to increase their finances that fuels their gambling habits and those who cannot control of themselves get taken away by the gambling which eventually becomes a problem to them in the long run
