What do you mean by they struggled to qualify for the final, it is a tournament for God's sake, so you expect them to ride on other teams and win every match 5-0. African football has developed so much, there are very few pushovers right now.

They made it to the final and you complain about how they got there, that is very funny to say the least. It is obvious that for some Nigerians in this thread, the Super Eagles and the NFF can do nothing right. Even if they win the 2025 AFCON starting in December, you might still complain that you don't like how they won it and they should have scored more goals.

In the last African Cup of Nations tournament, the performance of the super eagles was so bad that all the countries they played against in the tournament were better than them when it comes to ball possession. The super eagles were lucky to score goals against their opponents in the tournament. Ivory Coast couldn't beat their opponents in the group stage of the African of Cup Nations tournament, but they qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament as best losers. I expected the super eagles to beat Ivory Coast easily in the African Cup of Nations finals, but what did the super eagles do? They gave up their one goal lead against Ivory Coast, and Ivory Coast came from behind and beat the super eagles in the finals.

The problem of the super eagles has been that of proper management until we have a technical crew that is sound technical and with the right tactics the super eagles will be a dominant force in Africa and even in the world cup but for now some people who call themselves football administrators in the country is bent on doing what ever that they like by appointing any coach that they like
