Unemployment is one of the reasons why people gamble that's right but it is actually a lazy excuse because gambling isn't much of an alternative...people gamble with the wishful thinking of becoming financially stable thought it with zero guarantees of achieving this...we are no longer in the stone ages so the government of any country cannot fully put a stop to gambling, people would still find a way to gamble

That's reality, even how hard the government will to it gamblers will find ways, those who already have deep understanding or already have too much addiction in them, they will do everything just to conitnue, so even the government implement rules with the help of internet access those gamblers will still find alternative to satisfied their desires.

There are many methods to use to access those casinos they want to play even if the government impose total banning of all online casinos. So with that they cannot really fully stop the operation especially that everything is accessible now.

Maybe instead of banning it they should find more effective ways to regulate it and make it more harder to afford by low income people. Since if it happens that gambling will became more expensive for some low income people I guess they will not gamble. Also they can make sure that the people came on casinos are well capable individual and they can get more taxes from this people also those platforms still running under their agreed terms.

And to be honest, that's where corruptions begins as most of the time government officials are the reason why those casino business rise high, they mostly backup and protected if only the government can really facilatate the industry there are many benefits that they can afford out from casino taxes, instead of trying to ban find a better ways to regulate and as you mentioned make it more harder for those low income people.
