This situation certainly benefits Bayern Munich, making Kompany's efforts to defend the Bundesliga title easier. Dortmund, Bayern Munich usual fierce rivals, have yet to show any signs of seriously challenging for the title, so it's reasonable to expect Bayern Munich to dominate the competition this season.

With the squad depth Kompany has built, I believe Bayern Munich even looks well-prepared to compete in the Champions League.
