That's how it is supposed to be, if one has a sustainable stream of income, they should prioritize and protect that source of income because gambling is not the way out of financial freedom. Some people lost their job because of their gambling addiction lifestyle and some have missed big opportunities because of gambling, so it's always very important that a gambler or bettor should know the right thing to do so that they don't lose very important stuff because of gambling. What addicted and compulsive gamblers have in common is losses, I don't think it usually gets better for them by just being addicted.
No, it definitely doesn't get any better. I remember myself in those years when I lived only by spending whole days in the casino. There was no other world for me. The process of the game was my world. I didn't notice anything and didn't show any particular desire to do it. I just wanted to spin the slots and not think about anything. This went on for several years in a row. Until one day I came home and realized that I had no money at all and was totally mired in debt. It was scary, to be honest. I couldn't even imagine that I would reach such a state. Apathy covered me completely. The most terrible thoughts came into my head.
