Family members and people who are very close to you can still do what the OP is talking about, so no one is trusted to some extent. I totally disagree with the idea of physical P2P. Regardless of who you are to me, I feel like you should make the person know how to get it on the exchange, but selling my bitcoin for them physically, I can’t do that if they don’t know how to get it from the exchange.
I prefer teaching them how to make the transaction. My holding is confidential, and I can’t share it with anyone, and for that, if I’m ready to sell, I will sell it off without anyone among whom I have been hiding it from knowing about it.
The truth is that I can trust anyone with other things but you see money, you wouldn't know full character of people until you are close to them, that's when you will know that indeed you have been living a fake life with people that are close to you. This doesn't change the fact that there are no other good people, we have so many good people that will be there for you even if there is no money but you see money, it's the fastest way you can know what's on people's mind.
Bitcoin is one of the precious thing that even a person that claim not to like Bitcoin will gladly accept if you give it to them immediately. If you are going to buy and sell Bitcoin, kindly do with someone on the internet, there various ways you can buy Bitcoin safely and on one dare run away with your money, they can't even if it's decentralized exhange. I have alot of traders that has contacted me one on one to trade with them and I do ignore them, I trade only on exhange.
