In my opinion, the goal of most people who gamble is to win or make a profit. In gambling you tend not to win when you are expecting a win, but it comes when you least expect to win because this is how gambling works it doesn't announces when you win, since the wins are not guaranteed, but most person feels they can force the win out and that is why even when they know that gambling win is not sure, they kept gambling with the hope and assurance that they will win.

As we all know gambling is basically meant for recreation/entertainment even though we have some sense of winning,for the responsible ones, they don't reason about wins at all, they just gambling for the fun of it that is why they have budget for gambling and accept gambling wins whenever it comes.
