I have tried the same thing, and I can't seem to verify my email address after getting the link in the inbox.
It works fine for me! I was able to verify my email by clicking on the verification button. Although there was no notification that the email was verified successfully and I was immediately redirected to the home page, but I guess everything is fine. However, I believe a notification should be displayed to confirm that the email was successfully verified to avoid confusion.
If clicking the verification button doesn’t work, the email suggests copy pasting the link provided
This is supposed to solve the problem.
Have you opened the withdraw section yet? I was also redicted to the homepage without having any information telling me that my email was successfully confirmed. And then at the withdraw section, you might see this message

I tried for a day or two, but on the third or fourth day my account was already verified
Check again because even if the link took you to the homepage, your account may still be verified
At first, withdrawals were also blocked, but then they were released, meaning that my account was verified and everything was OK
