Slowly but surely, Xabi Alonso has managed to bring consistency to Real Madrid in La Liga, and I think they have returned to their best form. It remains to be seen if Real Madrid can do the same when playing in the Champions League. Meanwhile, with Real Madrid resurgence, Barcelona certainly needs to be more cautious this season. Hansi Flick might not be able to repeat last season success, like winning all the El Clasico matches.

Madrid has been improving their performance in the LaLiga this season but it’s yet to be tested against very tough opponents, this is the normal with Madrid they win this games I’m not surprised. Last season Madrid were not really bad but Barcelona was on a firing roll that made Madrid look bad aside from barça denying them titles last season, it was good outing I know many will argue against this. The competition for Madrid is always Barça in the LaLiga and vice versa, Xabi Alonso doing well will be tested in October when he plays Barcelona for now both teams can be winning games building momentum to the el Classico, I still think this Madrid team cannot win against barça yet but we’ll have to wait for the first el Classico of the new season.

Athletico Madrid has been a shadow of themselves 3 games without a win and even losing, what’s happening to Diego Simeone and his boys. They have to fix their problems fast to be able to compete for title this season.
