Bitcoin as a matter of fact stands in a world of its own and there’s no other cryptocurrency that can be compared to bitcoin in so many categories for example in terms of value, bitcoin have proven over the years to be the most valuable assets in the world, and in terms of stability and security and also the test of time, bitcoin have always dominated and still stands tall among others. So many other shitcoins have come and diminished but bitcoin remains. As a matter of fact, most of these coins depends on bitcoin for its performance.
Altcoin are competitors to bitcoin, but bitcoin is unbeatable in terms of market dominance and investor confidence. Some altcoin are considered superior to bitcoin in terms of transaction fee and speed, but these aren't weaknesses that would replace bitcoin with another.
All altcoin have their own advantages, but developers have failed to establish strong competitors in the market. Coins with real use cases will certainly be sought after and adopted, but not everyone is interested in owning them. Bitcoin is currently the most dominant coin and may become so in the future, but it could also lose its dominance in use cases when transction fees become exspensive.
