I remember cycling 5 miles to the nearest music shop and cycling home with a
record under my jacket trying to keep it from bending. That was the norm then,
now there is a different norm!
It’s pretty crazy actually what kids used to be allowed to do. I remember being probably no older than 9 years old and riding my bike to the mall across town to look at baseball cards and aquarium fish. It felt like that was an all day trek. Nowadays that would probably be considered child abuse. Lol
