We are not at McDonalds here to obey to the guest. WO Guests are not treated much differently than regulars, because the latter are guests here too. What's stopping you from getting a light, cheap, low-power,
disposable laptop with full disk encryption and good keyboard for travels? I've "tested" it for the first time this year, and I'm very happy with it.

I use such one at home, but for traveling I need a slim, small device capable of presenting media and providing otg storage and editing. Mostly footage from the go-pro. I am reading ebooks, which is better on a tablet, I even use a pen. I rarely type, and I could add a Bluetooth keyboard, but the comfortable ones are bulky. If I'm on the go, I try to get everything I need into a combat or traveling backpack. I need flexibility, I don't like to be bound to a suitcase or trolley, like walking a dog.
Oh, and I hate (the sound of) blowing fans and having a hot notebook on my lap, too.
I managed to set up the touchscreen keyboard to behave better, by the way.
It's more acceptable now, but it still takes too much time to write longer posts, unlike this one.
