With ethereum being the backbone of DeFi, NFTs and other countless Altcoin projects, if it happens to disappear tomorrow, which Altcoin do you think will take it's place? Or maybe no single altcoin can replace ethereum?
Do you think people will trust other altcoins if Ethereum vanishes? Ethereum is the gold standard; take that away, and you take out the trust in altcoins. There should be a good reason why it disappears, because if it happens to Ethereum, it could happen to any altcoin.
If the developers decided to shut it down voluntarily, then the next coin could be Solana, but I don't want to entertain the idea that Ethereum will vanish.
If Ethereum crashes, projects that are listed on the Ethereum network will be high affected and they could disappear also. This would create a big shakeup in the altcoins market making investors to shift their investments on the number crypto which is Bitcoin.
If the price of Ethereum crashes again, all projects in the altcoins market will have huge depreciation in price and value because majority of investors will sell their altcoins holding and invest in Bitcoin. This will teaches people lesson to never invest sluggishly in the altcoins market.
