There are hundreds of proven scammers, and it will take a long time for someone to compile the entire list. As for scammers who try to scam people in private messages, people should report these scammers. I don't remember if I ever received such PMs before. I assume I didn't, or else I would have reported them on the reputation board.
I assume you are expecting people to report similar incidents in this thread, as others are reporting spammers, plagiarists, and others. Wish you good luck and I hope this will be useful for the community. As long as the scammer already has negative feedback on their profile, it should be enough for people to understand that we shouldn't deal with them.
New scammers will continue to join BT and try new ways to screw people. Ideally, users with negative trust are already flagged as scammers. The goal here is to identify new scammers and ideally help users recognize and avoid interacting with them.
The idea is that if multiple users report the same scammer publicly could help keep track of it and have mods flagging or banning.
If this topic will be not useful, I guess it will be dusted and forgiven... no issue with that. It's an intent, we will see if it is useful or not.
