Business is really hard though, there is 100% chance that your resources might never yield something you desire. Business is very hard, most oftien you don't win when you start, you may feel discouraged and all that and also you might also run into some losses, these things are can't be avoided but if you are dedicated and ready to compromise somethings to improve the business, you will succeed in it but like I said, alot of people failed in business.
I agree with you, most business attempts fail horribly. People only look at the outliers that they see, successful businesses like restaurants that they know. They don't see all the failed attempts in between. Even if your business does survive, if it is making a very bad return then it is a horrible use of your time.
I don't mind if I have investment and not really business type, it's easy to manage invest at your comfort while you focus on other means of making money, it's easy to control as you can see some loss coming unlike business that you will never see coming, once you are in it that's it, you have to sell everything you are have down before you can be able to know if your business strategy comply with your cost of production, cost of income and revenue.
Investing is more superior to running a business, but it requires you to have even more money. If you want low risk and solid returns, then you need to have a lot of money. That is the main problem with it.
