We might get mini version of rich vs rich fight I'm also wondering the same thing about the Maddalena vs. Islam fight. I wonder if he'll do well in another division. I don't think so. Back then, Volka showed him that fighting someone a little more determined makes things much more difficult, so this fight will likely be more challenging for Islam if he's not comfortable with the weight class.
I get the hesitation on picking Makhachev because of the new weight class but skill for skill, he's def better than JDM. Even Belal Muhammad in wrestling mode could beat JDM. Not really sure why he didn't wrestle fck JDM.
But yeah... If I were to bet this it would be Makhachev via SUB if the line was good. Say at least 3.00 or up. I'd settle for less if JDM wasn't undefeated in 16 matches.
