While Manchester City is definitely not in a great place, they are not bad enough to lose to United neither. I am sure they are going to get the three points here, but we never know. The trouble with City last year was the hunger, they won it all, so they didn't care anymore. But many players went and many new players came, so I am assuming they are going to do quite fine.

Yes, they did not spend as much as Liverpool maybe, but contrary to popular belief they never were a high net spending team, not for the results they got at least, they normally did alright on transfers and still won. The real magic at City is the Pep Guardiola, and he could turn this ship around once more and make them win everything yet again.

The Manchester Derby is a very tough one and there's always pressure from both ends, it's not about who has the best squad cause there are times when City had more better players but lost severally to Manchester United infact City is not in a good form recently and if they can't recover after the international break is over then Manchester United could take advantage of their situation. Well both parties participated well in the transfer window and got major of their targets, Manchester United too still signed about 70% of their targets and failed to sign only a holding midfielder, that doesn't make them weak though.
