I completely understand the example with work, people indeed continue working even when they have more money than they need. And such drive is often not related to love of money, it's connected precisely to love of the work itself, because without constant activity a person becomes bored, loses purpose, and this ends badly. But I don't see how this example could be relevant to gambling, because I don't understand how gambling could be a lifestyle.

People can be workaholics. People might work to make their mind work, develop, dont degrade. A parallel with retired people solving puzzles and crosswords can be made, they did not do that only because they have free time or nothing else to do. I have also seen people who dont know or like to rest. While on vacation, on 4th or 5th day they look missed and search something to keep busy Cheesy

People with infinite money who were gamblers or addictive gamblers, most probably wont drop gambling completely, but will gamble less, that for sure. Their goals what they want from gambling will no longer be achievable. They wont gamble for money because they already have infinite amount. They wont gamble for fun, because with infinite amount of money a million new ways to get fun opens Cheesy
