This people actually count confirmed Ruzzian loses one by one, using newspapers, inheritances taxes, open sources,... There are probably many more, there is a section in which they count people that sue the state to get the compensation.

They count only loses confirmed KIA with full names attached, so that is the "minimum". More than 4000 just in August this year.

In modern Ukranian war, for each KIA, you will get 4.2 injured. It is reasonable to say that casualties including KIA, MIA and injured are now well above million for Ruzzia.

That does not look like winning.
