Leverkusen have lost three important players as well as one of their best managers and their overall performance is getting worse. Now if they bring a good manager to their club, that manager may not be able to improve the team's performance as before because the club will continue to perform poorly in certain positions until the players who have left do not come to the club. I do not think it can be as easy as buy stars and everything resets. What has become of United this summer: they spent €250m, 90% of it on forwards, and they cannot play 3-4-3 at all because they lack decent wing-backs and a midfield controller.
