That's true, the fact that gambling is best seen as a form of entertainment doesn't mean gamblers should dedicate much time to it cause they want to entertainment themselves, infact the more time and attention you give to gambling is how close a gambler is likely going to be addicted, every gambler should have a time frame for gambling so they can focus on other important stuffs like work or investment or even have quality time to spend with their family. Since gambling shouldn't even be considered as a means of generating money then people should give more attention to stuffs that generates money and put food on the table, like work and investment.

Only people who see gambling as a means of work or means of acquiring profits daily actually tie themselves to the act because gambling is something that if you engage rapidly and frequently can spoil your thoughts and ways of reasoning and that's why it's not good to gamble with your full mind hoping you will get something in return and also not tied to the fun purpose of always entertaining yourself, I believe the whole action should be balanced and everything should be done with reference to availability in time.

Yes, if gambling is considered as a means of work or income, then it gradually destroys the balance of life, till date I have not seen anyone who has been successful in life through gambling, even if they win some times, then due to their greed they have lost a lot more money than that win, that is, there is no way to be profitable here in the long run, it is for entertainment, so you have to limit it to entertainment and gamble within your means, when you see it as a way to achieve success, then it will lead your life to disaster. And this is not a fiction, rather it is a hard reality, which we have seen with our own eyes many times.
