I do tell gamblers never to let the idea of trying to recover their funds get into their heads. You might be trying to recover your funds while putting your remaining funds at risks the more.

Enjoy the game, use money you can afford to lose and when you lose, accept it in good faith. There is no special way of recovering losses when playing slot games.
