I agree with you, and I think if they knew Arsenal before Arteta became manager, Arteta has slowly made many improvements and progress for Arsenal since his arrival in 2019.
And although their performance in the Premier League has been inconsistent, Arsenal's results over the past two seasons have consistently finished in second place in the table, which means Arsenal are in a better position compared to the big teams below them.
In my opinion, Mikel Arteta has been doing a great job since his arrival in Arsenal. He contributed significantly to the team in various ways and has transformed Arsenal for the better. It's been observed that over the past three seasons, Arsenal always started strong, winning around 80% of their early matches, but ended up fallen short of expectations. I believe it wasn't the right time for Mikel Arteta to lift the trophy in previous seasons, but with the new signings they've made this season, I'm hopeful Arsenal might finally win the Premier League title this season. I know the season will be more challenging for Arteta than previous ones, because other competing clubs have high expectations of winning the Premier League title too, and I'm not surprised, given the quality of players these teams have, making it difficult to predict the title winner.
This is what Arsenal fans keep on saying from season to season. In the beginning of every new season, it's always Arsenal turn to win the league but how does it end up. Don't forget that Liverpool bought few quality players than Arsenal, I wonder what will be the fate of Arsenal this season because history might repeat itself again. I will be disappointed if Arsenal ends up as a runner up again.
