Not only Pep Guardiola but Manchester City as a club are beginning to lost momentum, I think it's an era coming to an end because for Manchester City to seat in such position in the beginning of a season means that something is not right some how, if I'm to be Pep Guardiola I'd take a shot break to cool off the tense.
What does taking a break mean, is stepping down as a manager? Because if that's the case, Pep Guardiola would have to pay compensation as per his contract, every manager who steps down must pay compensation to the club.
Don't be surprised by Manchester City decline in performance, as they are currently undergoing a major transition from old players to new ones. So what they need to aim for this season is to create balance first, rather than targeting the championship.
