We can say that since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr, where he has brought about many changes. It is VERY clear that he is saying all of those for marketing, if you paid me 200 million dollars a year, I would travel around the world everyday with a Saudi shirt and explaining the whole world why the Saudi kingdom is the greatest nation in the world. It is not really that shocking that he is doing PR for them, and their world cup as well, because he gets paid to do exactly that.

As a footballer we all know he doesn't worth 200 million a year, hell he doesn't worth even 20 million a year anymore, his talents is not worth it anymore at all. But his name? brand? marketing? that worths 200 million easily and that is why Saudis pay him. So saying 2030 world cup and Saudi league is strong etc? Those are just all marketing.
