It's true that gambling has helped gambler's who were lucky and fortunate as they have won millions which has changed the cause of their life's but one thing that we should not forget is that gambling has a lot of negative effects that is attached to it, so people should look beyond gambling if they are to have a successful life.

Gambling doesn't stop you from having a successful life, there are many successful people that are still gamblers. We owe it to ourselves to be mindful of how we navigate our life, some decisions we take shouldn't be taken because they can be harmful to us but don't think that just because you're gambling that automatically, you aren't going to have a successful life. A vast majority are gambling with a wrong mindset because all they're after is the quick money that gambling promises but they don't get to see it, instead they're the ones losing but since they're now addicted, it becomes difficult to stop.
This is my exact sentiment here sir, and I think that you have practically said it all, what most folks fail to understand is that gambling is something that should be done for fun not taking it as a source of income, and yes, their are few people in the society that abuses it, but should that be enough reason for government to contemplate baning it? No.

Just as I am now that loves playing snooker with my guys in the neighborhood, we mostly stake money while playing it so that to add more motivation and excitement to it, did he think it's a wrong thing?
Our approach to gambling is determined by each and every individual and it is what we all should respect, even though we are not pleased with the other persons approach, since it's one way most guys create their fun.
