Ledger Nano wallets which are completely close source has made some people think hardware wallet should not fall under cold storage anymore because of how people using the wallet can send the Ledger seed phrases to third party companies for backup.

I also do not trust hardware wallet unless it is airgapped. Only airgapped hardware wallets I can call cold storages.
